Located in Koreatown, Concerto Coffee is a café situated inside Zion Market, making it a great spot to enjoy coffee and bakery items in a casual atmosphere. True to its reputation for Salt Bread, the café was bustling with customers even on weekdays, and both indoor seating and outdoor tables were available, allowing for a comfortable stay according to the situation.
On this day, we enjoyed a variety of drinks and bakery items. For drinks, we chose Chocolate Banana Latte, Espresso Tonic, Mulberry Matcha, and Strawberry Matcha Latte, and for bakery items, we sampled Mentaiko Salt Bread and Garlic Cream Cheese Salt Bread, along with the newly introduced donut options, Cream Cheese Donut and Strawberry Donut.
The Chocolate Banana Latte was a delightful blend of rich chocolate syrup, cocoa flavor, and sweet banana aroma, making it an easy drink to enjoy. The Espresso Tonic paired the bitterness of espresso with carbonation, refreshing the palate nicely. It complemented both the Salt Bread and donuts well. The Mulberry Matcha is a unique offering from Concerto Coffee, made in collaboration with a specialized farm in Japan, and it was caffeine-free, making it a pleasant choice with a clean and smooth taste. The Strawberry Matcha Latte balanced subtle sweetness and freshness, highlighting the authentic flavor of matcha beautifully.
The Mentaiko Salt Bread had a light exterior and moist interior, with the salty flavor of mentaiko adding a nice balance without being overwhelming. The Garlic Cream Cheese Salt Bread had a mild garlic aroma that blended well with the cream cheese, creating a combination that was easy to enjoy. The newly introduced donut options were also impressive. The Cream Cheese Donut was light and not overly creamy, while the Strawberry Donut had a refreshing cream filling reminiscent of strawberry yogurt, making it not overly sweet. It was a great light dessert option that paired naturally with the existing Salt Bread lineup.
