Located in Brea Downtown, Griffin’s is a restaurant that offers a cozy yet luxurious atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed dinner with family, a light lunch with friends, or a drink at the bar. Thanks to a menu that caters to diverse tastes and attentive service, you can enjoy a comfortable and satisfying time no matter who you’re with.
The interior of the restaurant was much more spacious and relaxed than expected. There was a separate bar area that added to the ambiance, and outdoor tables were available for enjoying a leisurely meal while feeling the breeze on nice days. That day, we enjoyed a variety of dishes including Burrata, Ceviche, Ribeye, as well as Pink Pomy Club and Sparkling Passionfruit Lemonade, allowing us to taste a little bit of everything.
First, the Burrata we enjoyed as an appetizer was soft and creamy, enhanced by flavorful olive oil, creating a harmonious taste. When placed on crispy toasted baguette, the texture and flavor were elevated, making it a simple yet thoughtfully crafted dish that was easy to enjoy as a starter. The Ceviche featured fresh seafood combined with a zesty yet smooth dressing, enough to whet the appetite. The octopus was particularly impressive for being tender rather than tough, and pairing it with the accompanying chips added a delightful contrast in texture. The main dish, the Ribeye, was a generous 20oz bone-in prime steak that allowed us to fully appreciate the deep flavor of the juicy meat. Its thick cut provided a satisfying chew, and when paired with the Chimichurri, it completed a clean and rich taste. The mashed potatoes were soft and mild, making them a perfect accompaniment.
The Pink Pomy Club was a cocktail that combined the refreshing flavors of pomegranate and kiwi, making it a light and enjoyable drink. Its subtle sweetness and light body paired naturally with the meal. The Sparkling Passionfruit Lemonade offered a delightful fizz combined with the tropical fruit’s freshness, providing a pleasant refreshing sensation. Although it was a non-alcoholic drink, it had a sophisticated taste comparable to cocktails, making it a great recommendation for those who don’t drink alcohol.
