100% Pure Honey & Honeycombs
Honeymee is a dessert specialty store where you can taste 100% pure natural raw honey and honeycombs, along with ice cream made from fresh California milk. It features a clean and mild sweetness that highlights the natural flavors of the ingredients. We visited the Japanese Village location, but there are various locations such as DTLA and Buena Park, making it convenient to enjoy wherever you are.
When we visited, the store was lively with customers enjoying desserts, and there was also a photo booth for taking sticker pictures, where we could see people having fun. Among the menu items we tried, the signature Honeymee topped with honeycomb and the Matcha Honeymee stood out, along with the Passion Fruit Shake from the milkshake menu and the Blueberry Ade and Passion Fruit Ade from the drink menu.
The menu items we ordered each had distinct personalities, making it fun to choose what to eat. Among them, the signature Honeymee with sweet honeycomb on top of rich milk ice cream was impressive, as the flavor of honey filled my mouth from the very first bite. Although it contained honey, it wasn’t overly sweet; rather, it had a subtle sweetness that kept me coming back for more. The Matcha Honeymee, which harmoniously blended the bitterness of matcha with the sweetness of honey, is also a recommended item, as its unique bitterness and nuttiness paired well with the smooth texture, allowing for enjoyment until the very last bite without getting tired of it.
The Passion Fruit Shake had a refreshing fruit flavor that was perfect for hot weather. At first, I thought it would be a bit heavy since it’s a milkshake, but thanks to the unique fresh aroma and sweet-tart flavor of passion fruit, I could drink it comfortably until the end. The rich milk base combined with the fruit flavor made it a delightful dessert. Both the Blueberry Ade and Passion Fruit Ade showcased the natural freshness of the fruits, making them great for light enjoyment. The Blueberry Ade had a nice balance of subtle sweetness and acidity, while the Passion Fruit Ade provided a refreshing sensation in every sip. The fruit flavors were not artificial and were cleanly delivered, making them suitable for those looking for light-style beverages.
