Every Day is Ramen Day
Located in Arcadia, Kyuramen is a place where you can enjoy ramen along with rice, burger menus, appetizers, desserts, and a variety of drinks in a casual yet distinctive space. Upon entering the store, the unique honeycomb-shaped interior immediately catches the eye, and there are comfortable options available depending on your visit purpose, including regular table seating, bar-style tables, and private rooms.
On this day, we ordered a variety of dishes centered around Kyuramen’s signature menu items. The Yinyang Bowl allows you to enjoy both Tonkotsu Shoyu and Miso Ramen in one bowl, with the rich and savory tonkotsu shoyu contrasting nicely with the subtly spicy miso broth, making it fun to alternate between the two according to your taste. The Korean Kimchi Ramen had the tanginess of kimchi naturally infused into the broth, focusing more on a clean and refreshing flavor rather than spiciness, and felt like a familiar yet hearty dish.
The Pork Tonkatsu Omurice Combo included a performance where the eggs are cracked and sauce is poured right at the table, adding visual enjoyment to the experience. Enjoying the fluffy and soft omurice with crispy tonkatsu in one bite provided a delightful contrast in texture, and you could choose between curry or demi-glace sauce to suit your preference. When ordered as a combo, you could also select an Amazing Lemonade or Thai Iced Tea, making for a well-rounded meal. The Crispy Sweet Chili Wings ordered as a side were sweet with a subtle spiciness, making them a great accompaniment throughout the meal.
The Honeycomb Platter was served in a honeycomb-shaped dish that matched the store’s concept, making it visually impressive. It included a variety of items such as Chilli Garlic Edamame, Lobster & Chashu Salad Ball, Tamago Egg, Shrimp Tempura, Eel Unagi, Scallops, and Seaweed Salad, making it easy to share and enjoy multiple dishes at the table. The portions of each item were not overwhelming, but the platter was well-structured and perfect for snacking in between.
For dessert, we ordered Cherry Blossom Jelly and Matcha Tiramisu. The Cherry Blossom Jelly had a subtle floral aroma and a chewy texture that refreshed the palate after the meal, while the Matcha Tiramisu balanced the bitterness of matcha with smooth cream, finishing off the meal without being overly rich. The Fresh Dragon Fruit Fruit Tea served alongside was refreshing, and the Amazing Lemonade, with its unique blend of yogurt and lemonade, offered a delightful combination of creaminess and freshness, making it particularly memorable.
