Potato Love Noodle

Traditional Potato Noodles

Located in Koreatown, Potato Love Noodle is a casual restaurant that focuses on unique noodle dishes made from potatoes, along with rice, skewers, and desserts. During lunchtime, the restaurant was bustling with customers eager to taste the noodle dishes, and steaming bowls were placed on every table, creating a lively atmosphere.

On that day, we ordered Beef Slices and Fine Seafood for the noodle dishes, and enjoyed Braised Pork Belly as our rice dish. We also complemented our meal with a variety of skewers, including Fried Ham Sausage, Deep Fried Fish Ball, Shrimp Ball, and Oyster Mushroom, which filled the table abundantly. To finish off the meal, we chose Snowflake Milk Crisp and Coconut Milk Balls for dessert, allowing us to enjoy a well-rounded tasting experience.

The most impressive aspect was undoubtedly the texture of the noodles. The potato noodles enjoyed with Beef Slices and Fine Seafood were chewy yet resilient, reminiscent of Korean potato dumplings transformed into noodle form. The ingredients of beef and seafood blended beautifully in the broth, enhancing the texture of the noodles, and the familiar yet unique combination kept us reaching for more with each bite. The pairing with the broth was excellent, making it an overall satisfying noodle dish. The Braised Pork Belly was a tender pork dish that was not greasy and had a clean, refined flavor. The meat was so tender that it could be easily pulled apart with chopsticks, and the lightly sweet soy-based seasoning was not overpowering, allowing it to blend naturally with the rice. The inherent flavor of the meat was preserved without being overshadowed by the rich seasoning, making it a well-balanced dish to accompany the noodles.

For the skewer menu, we enjoyed Fish Ball and Shrimp Ball, which had a chewy texture that made them easy to pick up one by one, and they offered a clean taste with the unique flavor of seafood. This made them a light addition between the noodle dishes. The Oyster Mushroom skewer retained the moisture and subtle aroma of the mushrooms, helping to lighten the overall combination, while the Fried Ham Sausage was savory yet not greasy, making it a clean option to enjoy. Overall, the variety of skewer options added fun to the meal, allowing us to choose according to our preferences and further enriching the table alongside the noodle dishes.

The Snowflake Milk Crisp and Coconut Milk Balls we enjoyed at the end were perfect desserts to accompany the meal without being heavy. The Snowflake Milk Crisp had a crispy yet lightly crumbling texture, enhanced by a subtle nuttiness from the milk, making it easy to enjoy without being overly sweet. The Coconut Milk Balls had a chewy exterior and a soft coconut milk filling, releasing a gentle sweetness with each bite. The natural aroma of coconut was beautifully present, making it a fitting dessert to conclude a meal filled with fried and noodle dishes.
