Premium AYCE Sushi & Sashimi
Located in Tustin, Sushi Damu is a place where you can enjoy premium All You Can Eat sushi and sashimi, featuring a variety of sushi and sashimi made with fresh ingredients, as well as a range of side dishes and drinks. With satisfying quality and variety, it’s a spot worth visiting for sushi lovers.
We visited during the day, but the dim lighting with a hint of blue created an atmosphere reminiscent of an izakaya. Thanks to the relatively spacious seating and tables, we were able to enjoy a leisurely meal even with a variety of menu items ordered. We chose the AYCE Passes and AYCE Sashimi option, indulging in various types of sushi and sashimi, and ordered strawberry and raspberry slushies as our drinks.
While the menu is so diverse that it’s hard to introduce everything, a few particularly memorable items included the sashimi: Bluefin Tuna, IKA (Squid), and Yellowtail. The Bluefin Tuna had a perfect balance of fat and a firm texture that melted smoothly in the mouth, while the squid had a chewy texture that made it enjoyable to bite into. The Yellowtail left a clean and refreshing aftertaste. Among the sushi menu, the salmon and scallops stood out. The salmon had just the right amount of fat, and the balance with the rice was excellent, making it easy to enjoy, while the scallops were soft and sweet, pleasantly enveloping the mouth. Among the rolls, the Dragon Breath was particularly striking, served with flames on the grill, leaving a strong visual impression. The roll contained cream cheese, adding a smooth and nutty flavor, while the outside was topped with eel and avocado, creating layers of flavor in the mouth. The subtle smoky aroma enhanced the overall taste, making it even deeper and richer. It was so delicious that I would definitely recommend it among the roll options.
The strawberry and raspberry slushies we ordered paired well with the meal due to their refreshing and sweet taste. Especially between the sushi, they provided a clean palate, making them great companions throughout the meal. The cool and smooth texture of the slushies was also satisfying. We enjoyed them as non-alcoholic drinks, but if desired, you could add soju to enjoy them like a cocktail, making it a fun option to try differently based on your preference.
