Authentic Korean Tofu House
Tofu Bean Korean BBQ, located in Diamond Bar, is a place where you can enjoy a variety of dishes from different types of sundubu jjigae to BBQ menus and Korean cuisine. The spacious and neatly organized interior makes it a comfortable space for dining, and the staff were friendly, creating an overall atmosphere that was naturally relaxed.

On this day, we ordered a galbi + beef sundubu (Plain) combo and a dolsot bibimbap + gopchang sundubu (Medium) combo, along with rabokki, to enjoy a variety of combinations. The sundubu included in the combo menu can be chosen from several types such as beef, seafood, mushrooms, and dumplings, and the level of spiciness can be selected from Plain to Extra Spicy, which was great.

The galbi was grilled to a suitable thickness, allowing the flavor of the meat to spread smoothly with each bite, and the seasoning was not excessive, making it a clean and enjoyable taste. The beef sundubu that came with it, despite being at the Plain level, had a rich and mild broth flavor, and the soft sundubu and the umami of the beef blended naturally. Eating the galbi and sundubu together created a satisfying combination of meat flavor and warm broth.
The dolsot bibimbap was served in a hot stone pot, combining various ingredients like spinach, bean sprouts, mushrooms, and carrots with fluffy rice, providing a rich texture. Each ingredient was cooked neatly, making the bibimbap itself a satisfying dish. The gopchang sundubu was ordered at the Medium level, adding a suitable spiciness that deepened the broth, and the gopchang was savory and tender without any off-flavors, harmonizing naturally with the sundubu. The nuttiness of the bibimbap and the warm umami of the sundubu came together to create a high-quality meal. The rabokki had a sweet and sour taste that reminded me of the tteokbokki I used to eat at snack shops during school days, with a subtle spiciness that increased as I ate. The texture of the ramen and tteok was pleasantly chewy, making it a great side dish, and overall, it was an addictive flavor that kept me reaching for more.
