Universal Studios

Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood is a world-renowned movie theme park located in Universal City, California, USA, where you can experience the charm of Hollywood films firsthand. The park combines a theme park with actual filming sets, offering an experience that feels like walking through the ‘world of movies’ rather than just a simple amusement park. Although I have visited several times, there are always new attractions and seasonal events that draw me back.

Park entry is managed through the official Universal Studios mobile app, so it is recommended to download the app before your visit. You can check ticket registration, attraction wait times, maps, and mobile orders all in one place, which is a great help in planning your route. If you want to enjoy popular attractions efficiently, consider the ‘Universal Express’ option. It incurs an additional cost but can significantly reduce long wait times, allowing for a much more relaxed day. A tip is to enter early and enjoy the main attractions first.

At The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the moment Hogwarts Castle unfolds before my eyes, I felt as if I had stepped into a scene from the movie. ‘Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey’ combined vivid storytelling with an exhilarating ride, providing an immersive experience. The butterbeer I tasted here, with its subtle sweetness and smooth foam, added to the enjoyment until the very last sip. Next, at Jurassic World – The Ride, I felt the tension of entering a jungle from the movie, culminating in a thrilling drop that left me drenched. On a hot day, it’s refreshing to enjoy, and the water dries quickly, but if getting wet is a concern, I recommend preparing a poncho sold at the entrance.

The Studio Tour is the signature attraction representing Universal Studios. Visitors can closely explore actual movie and drama filming sets and experience breathtaking special effects like ‘Jaw-Dropping Sights’ and ‘King Kong 360 3-D’ firsthand. It’s a program that movie fans absolutely cannot miss, as it offers a vivid glimpse into the filmmaking process. The recently opened Super Nintendo World has become hugely popular, featuring spaces that seem to have transported scenes from the games, including Mario, Yoshi, and Bowser’s castle. In ‘Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge,’ guests can wear AR goggles and participate in a race, throwing items and enjoying an immersive experience that makes them feel like the protagonists of the game, making it a fun area for gamers and people of all ages. In addition to the attractions mentioned, the park is filled with various attractions and sights that cater to different tastes and age groups. There are also snacks and meals themed to each area throughout the park, making it a great place to take a break between attractions. From the Hog’s Head in the Harry Potter area to the Toadstool Cafe in Nintendo World and tropical drinks near Jurassic World, each area offers unique food options that add to the fun of moving around.
