Premium All You Can Eat Shabu Shabu
Avenue Shabu, located in Huntington Beach, is a place where you can enjoy AYCE shabu-shabu in a casual and comfortable setting. The interior is spacious with ample seating, allowing for a relatively comfortable dining experience even during busy hours, and there are outdoor tables available, making it a great option to visit on nice days.
During this visit, we chose the AYCE Premium option. The prices vary depending on lunch, dinner, basic, and premium configurations, so it’s good to check before visiting. You can choose from various broths, and it’s nice that you can sample each broth before ordering to pick according to your taste. We selected Original Kombu, Tonkotsu, and House Curry, and we could experience different charms from the light kombu base to the rich tonkotsu and the flavorful spices of the curry.
We enjoyed a variety of meats, and overall, they were fresh and had great texture, making them satisfying to cook lightly in the broth. In particular, the Bulgogi, which was marinated and seemed like it might overpower the flavor, surprisingly blended well with the broth and ended up being the most popular choice. The Brisket, Wagyu, and Rib Eye also had distinct textures and flavors, making it fun to choose among them. Adding seafood enhanced the broth’s flavor, and we finished with ramen noodles in the well-infused broth, which was a clean and satisfying conclusion.
During the meal, we also enjoyed the Soju Fishbowl Cocktail. We tried two varieties, Screwkiss and Snowju, which caught our eye with their generous size and added ice cream. The refreshing and tangy taste complemented the warm aftertaste of the shabu-shabu perfectly, and for dessert, the Mango and Thai Tea ice creams were a light and delightful way to finish.
