High Quality Teas
Chicha San Chen, located in San Gabriel, is a famous tea brand from Taiwan known for offering a variety of high-quality teas.
When we visited, there was a long line of people outside the café, but it didn’t take long for our drinks to be ready after ordering, so the line moved quickly. Inside the café, we could see the tea being brewed using a Tpress machine, which was fascinating as it resembled the process of brewing coffee. The café was filled with a pleasant aroma of tea, likely due to the continuous brewing.
We tried the Creamy Mango Tart and Green Tea with Passion Fruit from the menu. The Creamy Mango Tart combined the sweetness of mango with the deep and fragrant flavor of partially fermented tea, which is a blend of green tea and oolong tea. The mousse on top melted smoothly in the mouth, creating a harmonious taste. The Green Tea with Passion Fruit offered a clean taste of green tea paired with the sweet and tangy flavor of passion fruit, making it a refreshing and rich drink perfect for hot summer days. We also added bubbles to this drink, which were chewy and just sweet enough to complement the beverage perfectly.
