Located in Glendale, Coffee Commissary is a casual café infused with local vibes, operating multiple locations throughout LA, including Burbank and Del Rey. The overall atmosphere is minimal yet comfortable, with ample seating both indoors and outdoors, making it a great place to relax. During my visit, the lively ambiance was evident as customers kept coming in, with many looking to enjoy brunch and coffee together.
During this visit, I ordered the Brisket Burrito, Morning Melt, Matcha Latte, Lemonade, and Cheddar Biscuit. The brunch menu and drinks were all easy to enjoy without feeling heavy, and they paired well for sharing a variety of dishes.
The Brisket Burrito featured a hearty flavor centered around the brisket, making it satisfying to enjoy, and when paired with the chips and salsa, it created a more casual brunch vibe. The ingredients inside the tortilla were balanced, allowing for a variety of flavors to be experienced with each bite, and the overall balance was stable. The Morning Melt combined scrambled eggs, American cheese, and ham for a soft and comforting taste, enhanced by the warm, melted cheese that added richness. The accompanying Tater Tots provided a crispy texture that elevated the overall satisfaction of the brunch spread.
The Matcha Latte balanced the unique bitterness of matcha with a smooth texture, while the Lemonade offered a refreshing and light flavor that brightened the overall experience. The Cheddar Biscuit had a nutty and salty taste at its core, with a slightly crispy exterior and a soft interior. It seemed like a menu item that would pair well not only with the Matcha Latte but also with coffee.

It’s also impressive that they operate locations not only in Glendale but in several areas, making it convenient to visit a nearby spot.
