Loose Cannon Cafe, located in Glendale, has a warm and emotional atmosphere with a blend of wood and dark red tones. The overall comfortable mood was impressive, and there were ample seating options both indoors and outdoors, making it a great place to enjoy coffee and relax.
During this visit, I ordered the Yogurt Bowl, Chef’s Tuna Melt, Marlowe, and Matcha Marlowe. The brunch menu and drinks were well-balanced, making it a great combination for enjoying coffee lightly or having a full meal together.
The Yogurt Bowl was refreshing with fresh fruits and various toppings, making it a light yet satisfying menu option. The tangy flavor of Kumquat, which popped up occasionally, added a nice touch, keeping it from being monotonous, and the variety of textures blended naturally, allowing for an enjoyable experience until the end. The Chef’s Tuna Melt featured soft tuna and melted cheese that combined beautifully, enhanced by tomatoes and cabbage for a more balanced flavor. It was a hearty brunch option that was still light, and the harmony of the ingredients was very satisfying.
The drinks I ordered, Marlowe and Matcha Marlowe, were also impressive. Marlowe featured maple cream on top of Iced Cortado, creating a smooth blend, and the coffee’s flavor harmonized well with the subtle sweetness. Matcha Marlowe showcased the unique flavor of matcha, presenting a different charm, and it was enjoyable with the smooth cream. Each drink had its distinct personality while being easy to enjoy, making them a great match for the brunch menu.
