A Journey in Every Sip

Located in Koreatown, One:scape Coffee is a café where you can take a break from your daily routine and enjoy some leisure time. With its stylish interior and calm atmosphere, it feels like each drink is a small journey. Here, you can enjoy a variety of signature drinks, including coffee and matcha, as well as sweet desserts, making it fun to choose according to your taste. It’s a great place to quietly spend time alone or to share a leisurely moment with someone.

During this visit, I chose three drinks: Orange:scape, Nutty Twist, and One:scape Blueberry Matcha, along with Banana Coffee Cake and Apple Danish. True to their signature status, each drink had its own unique combination and personality, while the desserts complemented the drinks perfectly, each showcasing its own charm. It was a delightful experience to taste various combinations all in one place.

The Orange:scape, which I found most intriguing and unique, combined the refreshing taste of orange with a smooth latte, delivering both freshness and sweetness from the very first sip. The harmony of the crisp yet creamy flavor was impressive, and the clean aftertaste made it easy to enjoy without any burden. This uncommon combination felt particularly fresh and was a drink that brightened my mood. Nutty Twist featured a subtle nuttiness that paired well with the rich espresso. I hesitated at first, thinking the peanut might make it too heavy, but after trying it on the staff’s recommendation, I discovered its unexpected charm. The nutty flavor was present but felt much lighter than expected, making it enjoyable without any heaviness, and it was a taste that kept drawing me back. One:scape Blueberry Matcha showcased a unique appeal with the bitterness of rich matcha complemented by the fresh aroma and sweetness of blueberries. The first sip brought a burst of freshness, followed by the deep flavor of matcha spreading smoothly, achieving a clean balance. The cream on top added a layer of smoothness to the overall taste, making it a refreshing yet comforting combination.

The newly launched Banana Coffee Cake was a dessert I had high hopes for, as I usually love banana pudding. While it didn’t melt as smoothly as banana pudding, the cake’s unique crumbly and moist texture presented another charm. The gently spreading banana aroma and sweetness combined with the flavor of coffee created a balanced taste that was not monotonous. It was a dessert that was easy to enjoy, especially when paired with One:scape Blueberry Matcha. The Apple Danish had a crispy exterior and was filled with moist apples, so when you took a bite, you could feel both the crunch and the softness at the same time. The sweetness combined with a subtle tartness added a clean finish, making it easy to enjoy without the heaviness typical of desserts. The crispy pastry and the moist texture of the fruit harmonized well, making it a dessert that paired nicely with drinks.
