Located in Melrose, Re: Out Of Office is a café designed for you to take a break from your busy life and enjoy the leisure of being ‘out of office.’ The minimal yet calm atmosphere is central to its charm, and the spacious outdoor tables are particularly impressive. It’s a place where you naturally want to linger while enjoying coffee under the sunlight.
During this visit, I ordered a Cream Cold Brew, Strawberry Matcha, Hojicha Latte along with Morning Bite, Cookie & Cream Financier, and Matcha Financier. The drinks had a well-balanced flavor that was not overwhelming, creating a comfortable experience.
The Cream Cold Brew was smooth, with the cream and coffee blending nicely for a clean taste. The Strawberry Matcha offered a refreshing contrast between the strawberry and matcha, making it light and enjoyable. The Hojicha Latte had a nutty and subtle flavor that created a calming taste experience. For dessert, I enjoyed the Morning Bite along with the financiers. The Morning Bite, based on a bagel, combined eggs, bacon, and cheese for a simple yet satisfying meal, while the addition of tomato and red onion lightened the overall flavor. It was substantial enough to serve as a meal and paired well with the drinks. The Cookie & Cream Financier had a slightly crispy exterior and a soft interior, while the Matcha Financier featured a delicate matcha flavor that was light and refreshing. Overall, the offerings were well-suited for a light pairing with the drinks.

The drinks and simple brunch menu paired well together, making it an easy stop. It felt like a café to consider when you want to take a break from your routine and enjoy some leisurely time in Melrose.
