Cozy Cafe with Coffee & Tea
Taty’s Specialty Coffee & Tea, located in Westminster, is a beloved spot for many, where you can enjoy everything from traditional Vietnamese coffee to a variety of teas in a cozy atmosphere.
You can easily place your order through a kiosk here, and there are plenty of seats both indoors and outdoors for a comfortable experience. I visited the Westminster location, but there is also a Garden Grove branch, so you can choose the one that’s closer to you. We pondered over the various coffee and tea options and decided to try the Egg Coffee, Taro Milk Tea + Ube Foam, and Banana Matcha.
Egg Coffee is a drink that adds sweetness with condensed milk to traditional Vietnamese-style coffee, finished with a smooth egg foam. The deep and rich coffee aroma combined with the sweetness of the condensed milk was impressive from the first sip. The egg foam on top added a creamy texture and a subtle nuttiness, giving it a unique charm. Taro Milk Tea + Ube Foam is a drink made by harmoniously mixing green milk tea with fresh taro paste, topped with soft ube foam. With the first sip, the natural sweetness of the taro and the smooth flavor of the milk tea blended well, creating a deep taste, while the ube foam added a nutty yet subtle sweetness that balanced the overall drink.
Banana Matcha is a drink topped with banana cream made from fresh bananas and toffee pieces over matcha latte. The bitterness of the matcha and the natural sweetness of the banana harmonized perfectly from the first sip, while the creamy banana cream added a smooth texture. The nuttiness and slight crunch of the toffee pieces further enhanced the drink’s overall quality. Personally, I found the Banana Matcha to be just to my taste, especially with the generous amount of toffee that perfectly complemented the banana flavor, creating a delightful balance of sweetness and nuttiness that kept me reaching for more.
