A Cozy New Cafe in Northridge
The newly opened Yellow House Cafe in Northridge is a cozy cafe where you can enjoy a variety of drinks and snacks. The exterior is decorated with yellow accents, making it stand out from afar and giving a warm and friendly impression, just like its name. With its spacious and open layout, as well as ample seating available on the second floor, it provides an excellent environment for studying or working. If you’re looking to spend some leisurely time in a comfortable atmosphere, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

After pondering over the various menu options, we decided to try the Pork Cutlet, which was recommended by the staff as delicious, along with the Salmon Sandwich, and for drinks, we opted for the Injeolmi Latte, Strawberry Milk, and Dubai Chocolate Strawberry Matcha.

First, I was surprised by the size of the Pork Cutlet, which was larger than expected, and the presentation was also impressive. It came with soup, sauce, salad, rice, macaroni, and pickled radish, making it a sufficient meal. The meat was fried to a crispy perfection, and although it was on the thinner side, it was tender and not dry at all. The sauce complemented the meat well without being overly sweet, and the side dishes were overall clean and well-prepared. It was a satisfying dish that exceeded my expectations. The Salmon Sandwich used a soft bun instead of the commonly used bagel, making it even softer and easier to eat. The salmon was mild and not fishy, allowing for a clean taste, and it paired well with the fresh vegetables. With its non-spicy, overall soft and harmonious flavor, it was a perfect choice for a light meal.
The Injeolmi Latte was a drink that allowed me to enjoy the nutty flavor of injeolmi in a refreshing way. From the first sip, the unique nutty aroma of soybean powder spread gently, and it blended well with the milk, creating a smooth taste that was impressive. The soybean powder sprinkled on top enhanced the overall flavor without being overly sweet, allowing me to enjoy it until the end. My first impression of the Strawberry Milk was that it might be too sweet or heavy due to the whipped cream, but surprisingly, it was light and smooth, making it easy to enjoy. The freshness and sweetness of the strawberries were subtly felt. Rather than being thick and rich, it had a refreshing and light feel, making it a recommended drink if you’re looking for something other than coffee. The Dubai Chocolate Strawberry Matcha was a drink with a unique combination, just as its name suggests. Using 100% Japanese ceremonial grade matcha, the deep and slightly bitter flavor of matcha was distinctly felt, and the sweetness of chocolate and the subtle acidity of strawberries created an unexpectedly harmonious taste. The three flavors did not overlap and were distinctly felt, providing a good balance, and the visual appeal was also attractive. Personally, it was the drink that suited my taste the best among the three.
