Cafe Eclado

Sweet Moments, Softly Shining

Located in Artesia, Cafe Eclado is a newly opened café that features a minimalist interior and warm wood tones, creating a comfortable atmosphere. The entire space is neatly organized, making it a pleasant place to stay, and even though I visited early in the morning, many people were already there, quickly filling up the seats. Overall, it was a warm and cozy café, perfect for spending leisurely time.

We ordered a variety of drinks, including the signature Dirty Nutty and Mango Matcha Cloud, as well as the newly released Pistachio Matcha and Hoppuccino. We also enjoyed tasting Tigré in three flavors: Earl Grey, Espresso, and Matcha, allowing us to savor several menu items slowly.

The Dirty Nutty features crushed peanuts on the rim of the cup, giving it a nutty visual appeal right from the start. Following the recommended method, I first tasted the rich espresso and peanut cream without mixing, along with the peanuts on the rim, and the deep aroma of the espresso blended beautifully with the nutty flavor of the peanuts. After mixing well, the drink harmonized smoothly, maintaining a clean nuttiness throughout. The Mango Matcha Cloud had a refreshing mango flavor topped with soft cream over rich matcha, creating a drink where different flavors naturally followed with each sip. The first sip brought forth the freshness of the mango, with bits of mango puree providing a delightful texture. This was followed by the deep, calming aroma of matcha, creating a well-balanced experience, with the cream providing a smooth finish. It was a refreshing yet creamy drink that was enjoyable.

The Pistachio Matcha featured a smooth layer of pistachio cream over rich matcha, topped with crushed pistachios. The first sip revealed the cream’s nuttiness, followed by the deep, calming flavor of matcha, creating a gentle harmony between the two flavors. The nuttiness of the nuts spread subtly with the cream, resulting in a creamy yet light balance. The Hoppuccino was a soft hojicha latte topped with hojicha cream, where each sip delivered a gentle nuttiness and deep aroma. Despite the cream on top, it was not heavy and finished cleanly, providing a good overall balance, with the unique roasted flavor of hojicha spreading smoothly. This was personally my favorite drink among those I ordered that day. It’s worth noting that both the Pistachio Matcha and Hoppuccino have limited daily availability, so if you want to try these menu items, it might be a good idea to hurry when you visit.

The Tigré with three flavors was a dessert where each taste was distinctly highlighted. The Earl Grey had a subtle black tea aroma that blended well with coffee, making it a delightful pairing. The Espresso featured a rich butter flavor complemented by deep espresso notes, resulting in the most savory and robust taste. The Matcha offered a balanced composition where the bitterness of the rich matcha harmonized smoothly with the soft cake, avoiding excessive sweetness. It’s a dessert that pairs nicely with beverages, so I would recommend ordering it together.
