Cream Pan, located in Fountain Valley, showcases a variety of Japanese-style pastries, with the strawberry croissant being the most popular item on the menu. This place is always bustling with people, making it lively every time we visit. On this day, we visited the Fountain Valley location, but Cream Pan also has branches in Tustin and Lomita, allowing people in various areas to enjoy its flavors.
I often visit this place, but I always make sure to stop by before going on a trip. Each location has slightly different operating hours, but they usually open between 5:00 and 5:30 AM, offering simple sandwiches, inari sushi, and roll menus that are perfect for breakfast or snacks before a long drive.
On this day, we chose a few pastries, and among them, the Strawberry Croissant and Azuki Cream are always must-haves. Both of these items boast a satisfying taste that never disappoints. The Strawberry Croissant features a crispy crust filled with smooth cream and the refreshing flavor of fresh strawberries, making every bite a delightful experience. The Azuki Cream combines sweet red bean paste with soft cream, creating a nutty yet sweet flavor. The deep taste of the red bean pairs well with the cream’s smoothness, making it irresistible after just one bite. The harmony of the rich sweetness of the red bean and the cream’s gentle embrace is exceptional. If you visit Cream Pan, I highly recommend trying these two.
Next, the Mix Berry Scone is characterized by its moist and soft texture, enhanced by the sweet and slightly tart flavors of berries, making it perfect to enjoy with coffee. The Hot Dog is a simple yet satisfying menu item, where the savory and flavorful sausage pairs well with the bun, leaving you feeling full after just one bite. The Cream Puff is filled with soft and rich custard cream inside a crispy pastry, melting in your mouth. The sweetness of the cream and the nutty flavor of the pastry blend perfectly, and it’s not overly sweet, making it easy to enjoy.
