Unique and Heavenly Tasting Drinks
Located in Pasadena, HOJI Tea Community is a place where you can taste a variety of bubble teas, including blended drinks and iced drinks.
The interior space features a striking design using curves, creating a cozy yet unique atmosphere. We ordered Strawberry Green Tea, Uji Sweet Cream, and Fresh Mango Cloud. Each drink allows you to choose the sweetness level and add toppings like boba, lychee jelly, aloe vera, or Oreo as you wish.
First, the Strawberry Green Tea is made with real strawberries and Jade Mountain Green Tea, harmonizing the sweet taste of strawberries with the bitterness of green tea, resulting in a refreshing and vibrant flavor. The lychee jelly we added complemented it perfectly. The Uji Sweet Cream features matcha topped with cream, and seeing many people in the café enjoying this drink suggests it’s a popular choice. The rich green tea topped with smooth cream was not overly sweet even at 80% sweetness. The cream was also less sweet than expected, making it a great recommendation for those who prefer a moderately sweet green tea drink.
Lastly, the Fresh Mango Cloud was the most delicious of the three drinks, containing real mango, house cream, and mango bites. Unlike frozen mango, it uses fresh mango, making it much more refreshing and sweet, and the texture of the mango pieces added to the enjoyment. I was so taken with the Fresh Mango Cloud that I went back for another visit, and this time I added boba instead of lychee jelly, which also paired well. I think it’s a perfect drink to enjoy during the hot summer.
