Premium Quality Sushi at an Affordable Price
Kuu Sushi, which recently opened in Ventura, is a place where you can enjoy fresh sushi and sashimi at reasonable prices. You can experience a variety of menus in a clean and stylish interior, and the sushi, sashimi, and rolls made with fresh ingredients are particularly popular.
We wanted to experience a variety of menus, so we ordered Sashimi Special A, Dinner Special Sushi Combo, Dynamite Roll, and Oyster Shooter, and the fresh-looking sushi and sashimi, along with the neatly arranged plating, were impressive even before we started eating.
First, the Sashimi Special A consists of a variety of sashimi including Ebi, Tuna, Salmon, Albacore, Yellowtail, Escolar, and Seared Tuna, offering a generous portion of 20 pieces. Each sashimi was fresh and tender, melting in the mouth. The Seared Tuna, which was slightly grilled for deeper flavor, and the Yellowtail, which had a rich and chewy texture, stood out in my memory. Next, the Dinner Special Sushi Combo consists of 9 pieces of sushi and rolls, with the option to choose between California Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll. Just like the sashimi special, all the sushi was fresh, allowing us to taste the natural flavors of the ingredients, and the variety made each bite enjoyable. The Tuna and Salmon were particularly soft and flavorful, while the Masago added a delightful pop and salty taste that enhanced the sushi experience.
Next, the Dynamite Roll featured a combination of fresh Bay Scallop and mozzarella cheese, which was placed on top of the California Roll. This combination was filled with a soft and nutty flavor, and the sweetness and creamy texture of the cheese blended well in the mouth. Finally, the Oyster Shooter, served in a cute glass, combined fresh oysters with egg, ponzu sauce, masago, and spicy Tabasco and Sriracha, creating a rich flavor. The refreshing yet spicy taste spread in the mouth, and the savory oysters paired well with the smooth egg, leaving a lasting impression.
