Modern Boba Cafe with Unique Drinks and Bowls
Located in Torrance, La Cha x The Bowl is a place where you can enjoy everything from signature drinks made with chocolate cups to premium teas, bubble teas, and Hawaiian/Japanese-style teriyaki bowls.
We visited around 11:30, and there were quite a few people in line to place their orders, so we had to wait a bit before ordering. With a wide variety of menu options available, we decided to try the Always Summer Slush, Taro-presso, Choco Cup Banana Shake, Ocean Sparkling Lemonade, Dirty Matcha Milk Tea, along with Beef Teriyaki, Tteok-Bokki, and Popcorn Chicken.
The first drink we tried was the Choco Cup Banana Shake, which was the one I was most looking forward to. You can break the chocolate coating inside the cup and mix it with the drink, allowing you to enjoy both fun and flavor. It had the smooth and sweet taste of banana combined with the rich flavor of chocolate. As expected from a signature menu item, it was so delicious that we finished it in no time, making it one of the must-recommend items.
Next, the Always Summer Slush and Ocean Sparkling Lemonade, which look refreshing just by their colors, are new summer series menu items. If you prefer sweet lemonade, I recommend the Always Summer Slush, while if you prefer a more refreshing taste, the Ocean Sparkling Lemonade is the way to go. For coffee-based options, Taro-presso offers a harmonious blend of the nutty and sweet taste of taro with the rich flavor of coffee, and Dirty Matcha Milk Tea combines the bitterness of matcha, the smoothness of milk tea, and the deep, nutty flavor of espresso, making it a great choice for those wanting to enjoy a variety of flavors.
Finally, La Cha x The Bowl also offers simple meal options, including the Beef Teriyaki Bowl, which features well-cooked beef paired with a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce, and Tteok-Bokki, which combines a moderate spiciness with a sweet sauce, chewy rice cakes, and savory cheese, making for a hearty meal. The Popcorn Chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces for easy eating, provides a crispy texture and the tenderness of chicken, making it a great light snack or side dish.
