Premium Seafood & A5 Wagyu Steak Buffet
Niku X is a restaurant where you can enjoy a buffet centered around A5 Wagyu steaks and seafood dishes, offering a place to indulge in luxurious food and a variety of drinks.
Located in DTLA, the restaurant has a calm yet sophisticated atmosphere, with well-equipped table and bar seating that gives a versatile impression suitable for both formal dining and relatively casual visits. During this visit, I came to enjoy the newly added Peking duck and Bar Bite in the buffet menu.
First, I tried the Wagyu Steak Frites as my main dish, cooked to a perfect medium as I ordered, with rich juiciness and a clean continuation of the meat’s savory flavor. The accompanying fries were not overly greasy, complementing the steak nicely. I also tasted the newly added Peking duck from the buffet menu, where the contrast between the crispy duck skin and the tender meat was impressive. Wrapping the duck meat in pancakes with sauce and vegetables added flavor and texture, allowing for a different way to enjoy it, and overall, it felt highly refined. Additionally, the Duck Bone Soup provided a rich broth that comfortably refreshed my palate during the meal.
For the yakitori menu, I enjoyed Chicken Skewer, Wagyu Skewer, and Shrimp Skewer. The Chicken Skewer was moist and tender, bursting with juices, while the Wagyu Skewer delivered a distinct savory flavor with just one bite. The Shrimp Skewer was particularly highlighted by the mentaiko on top. The plump shrimp combined with the salty umami of the mentaiko created a richer taste, and the clean and luxurious combination of seafood worked well together. Each skewer had its own character, making them great to enjoy between the main dishes. I also tried cocktails, Lychee Martini and Margarita, which could be enjoyed as mocktails without alcohol. The Lychee Martini had a sweet and refreshing aroma that was perfect for sipping during the meal, while the Margarita served to cleanse the palate with its crisp acidity, complementing the flavors of the meat dishes.

Niku X, with its newly added Peking Duck station and various Bar Bite menu items, is a place where you can enjoy both a luxurious atmosphere and a well-crafted selection. If you’re looking to enjoy Wagyu, yakitori, and cocktails in a sophisticated space in DTLA, visiting the newly transformed Niku X would be a great choice.
