Grocers, Shops & Restaurants
In this post, I would like to introduce the Farmers Market in LA, along with the restaurant Pasta Corner and The Salad Bar located within it.

The Farmers Market is a place where various restaurants, fruit stalls, bakeries, meat shops, fish vendors, desserts, and many other stores gather, offering plenty of food and sights to enjoy.

Even though I visit the Farmers Market often, it always seems fun every time I go. I sometimes buy fruits from the fruit shop shown in the photos above, and they are generally sweet and delicious. The jerky shop in the next photo is also a place I frequently buy from, offering a variety of flavors, making it enjoyable to choose.

One of the items I purchased this time is almond butter. I’ve been into drizzling almond butter on acai bowls lately, so I bought it. Initially, I was only going to buy the almond butter, but I was curious about the one with honey, so I tried it and found it so sweet and delicious that I ended up buying both. Besides almond butter, they also sell various nut butters, and it’s great that you can taste them as well.

Toffee nut, one of the must-buy items when I go to the farmers market. The last time I went, I tried it while passing by and it was so delicious that I buy it every time I go. It tastes like butter candy, but it’s crispy and topped with almonds, making it sweet and savory. You can buy as much as you want, or you can get it packaged in a box as if you bought it yourself. The box in the photo is a small size, and there is also a larger size available.
Pasta Corner
Pasta Corner is one of the restaurants I want to introduce at the Farmers Market. I was curious because I heard a new pasta place opened, so I went right away. I don’t know exactly when it opened, but there were people passing by saying it’s new, and quite a few people were ordering pasta.

Pasta Corner operates from 9 AM to 9 PM from Monday to Saturday, and from 10 AM to 10 PM on Sundays.

As shown in the photo, fresh pasta is prepared next to the ordering area, which made me even more excited. I ordered Garlic Bread, Spaghetti Carbonara, Spaghetti Scampi + Sliced Truffle, and A Siciliana.
Before the food came out, I received my drink and tried it, but it was really too sour. Even now, as I write this, the sour taste comes to mind and makes my mouth water, but it was still tasty. It had a perfect lemonade flavor.

Next came the Garlic Bread and pasta. I tried the Garlic Bread because a friend recommended it, but I found it to be less impressive than I expected. It wasn’t that it tasted bad, but the garlic bread I had in mind was supposed to be moist, while this one was extremely crispy. It was totally my brother’s preference, so he ended up eating it all.
On the left, the pasta is Spaghetti Scampi with Sliced Truffle added, and on the right is Spaghetti Carbonara. First, the Spaghetti Scampi was incredibly delicious, with more shrimp than I expected, and the noodles were chewy. The added Sliced Truffle paired well, but there was so little that I could only really taste the aroma. Next time, I think I should add double the amount. The Spaghetti Carbonara was also tasty, but I found it a bit heavy since I ate it on an empty stomach in the morning, so I couldn’t eat much. It’s not that it was bad, but it was on the heavier side.
The dishes we ordered were all delicious, and seeing what others ordered made other menu items look really appetizing too. Next time I go, I want to try the pasta made with tomato sauce and the vongole pasta.
The Salad Bar
Another place I recommend is The Salad Bar. It’s a spot that sells juices, smoothies, sandwiches, soups, and more.

We ordered the Citrus Squeeze, Island Breeze, and Smoked Salmon Bagel, and they were all delicious. If you like refreshing smoothies, I recommend the Citrus Squeeze, and if you have a sweet tooth and love blueberries, the Island Breeze is a must-try. The Smoked Salmon Bagel was surprisingly tasty and paired well with the smoothie. While we had smoothies, I noticed most people were ordering juices, so it seems like the juices are a popular choice.
The Original Farmers Market
The Farmers Market is filled with a variety of food and sights. Be sure to stop by Pasta Corner and The Salad Bar as well.
