Located in Koreatown, 3THYME Coffee is a place where you can enjoy a variety of signature lattes and pastries. Personally, I love their espresso tonic so much that I visit frequently.
I visited on a Saturday afternoon, and the café was bustling with people enjoying their coffee. The café was divided into a cozy indoor space and an outdoor cafeteria area. Although it was crowded, there was enough space to sit comfortably.
We ordered the Espresso Tonic and Matcha Tonic that we wanted to try, along with the tempting Sugar Croffle. The Espresso Tonic has espresso mixed with fizzy tonic, and the slight sweetness made it even more delicious. Since it was my first time trying the Matcha Tonic, the combination of matcha and carbonation felt unfamiliar at first, but the more I drank, the better it paired together. The aftertaste had a hint of matcha’s bitterness, and it was a refreshing drink that would be perfect for summer.
After a short wait, the Sugar Croffle was served warm. I had been disappointed by croffles at other places in the past because they were too thick and hard, but the croffle at 3THYME Coffee was thin, crispy, and soft. Although it was a Sugar Croffle, it wasn’t overly sweet; it had just the right amount of sweetness and paired perfectly with the coffee.
