Located in Arcadia, 626 Ice Cream is famous for its soft serve ice cream made with a variety of flavors and carefully selected toppings. Currently, it operates from 7 PM to 12 AM on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 7 PM to 11 PM on Sundays and Mondays. It’s a popular spot, so I heard that if you don’t go early, you might have to wait a long time. I arrived 30 minutes before opening and was able to see a long line of people waiting, which really showed how popular this place is.
Upon entering the shop, I felt a unique, trendy, and hip vibe. From the store’s interior to the artwork and decor, there wasn’t a single detail overlooked, showcasing their exceptional taste. Additionally, all the staff were very friendly, and they offered samples along with explanations about the ice cream before ordering, which would be helpful for those unsure of what to choose.
The ice cream flavors included Black Sugar Vanilla, Lychee Strawberry, Yakult, Pineapple Passionfruit, Hojicha, and Honey Misugaru. It’s worth noting that Hojicha will be changed to Matcha after this day. The Calinook team tried all the different flavors, and since everyone has different tastes, each person had their favorite. If you enjoy a refreshing and tangy style, I recommend Lychee Strawberry and Pineapple Passionfruit. For those who prefer a nutty and smooth style, Honey Misugaru and Hojicha are great choices. If you like sweet flavors, I would suggest Black Sugar Vanilla and Yakult.
There are about 28 different toppings available, allowing for a wide selection based on personal preference. Personally, among the toppings I tried that day, I found the Hazelnut Praline, which had a subtle hazelnut aroma and nuttiness, the Rainbow Mochi that added a chewy texture, and the Dark Chocolate that paired well with the bitterness to be the most delicious.
