Classics Flowers and Confections

Where Flowers & Afternoon Tea Meet

Classics Flowers and Confections, located in Cypress, is an emotional tearoom where flowers, plants, and antique elements blend naturally. The space was adorned with plants and floral details, creating a calm yet warm atmosphere perfect for enjoying brunch and desserts. The menu was explained kindly, making it a comfortable experience even for first-time visitors.

During this visit, I ordered the Afternoon Tea Service along with Pasta Salad, Honey Bread, and Passion Fruit Lemonade. The menu was impressively broad, featuring everything from afternoon tea to brunch items, desserts, and various teas, making it easy to enjoy a variety of options together. The highly anticipated Afternoon Tea Service was prepared in a way that allowed us to choose our own combinations of sandwiches, drinks or tea, scones, and desserts. We selected Burrata Tomato, Butterfly Blue Pea, Fresh Fruits, Scone with Cream & House-Made Jam, and Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookie, and each item complemented the others well, creating a natural overall flow.

The Burrata Tomato was light and refreshing, combining fresh tomatoes and burrata cheese beautifully. The scone, in particular, had a slightly crispy exterior and a soft interior, which was impressive, and the accompanying House-Made Jam and cream enhanced its flavor significantly. The Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookie had a warm and moist texture, with a rich chocolate flavor that made it one of the most memorable desserts. Pairing it with the Butterfly Blue Pea added a nice touch, harmonizing well with the desserts and providing a clean finish to the overall experience.

The Pasta Salad was light and refreshing, with the Roasted Chicken Breast inside being particularly tender. Overall, it felt like a pasta dish that suited summer well, as it was not heavy and featured fresh ingredients that blended seamlessly, making it easy to enjoy. The Honey Bread had a sweet flavor that was well-balanced, making it a dish you couldn’t stop reaching for, and when eaten with the generous cream on top, it became even softer and richer in taste. The Passion Fruit Lemonade had a distinctly refreshing fruit flavor that helped to cleanse the palate throughout the meal. The use of House-Made Syrups and House-Made Fruit Purées in the drinks and desserts also made the flavors more natural and clean, which was impressive.
