Crispy, Chewy, Soft and Melty Cookies
Levain Bakery is a famous bakery that started in New York, particularly loved for its thick and chewy cookies. It offers a variety of cookie flavors, including its signature Chocolate Chip Walnut cookie, as well as freshly baked bread and pastries, and has been expanding its stores beyond New York to other states in the U.S., continuing to gain popularity.
I remember when Levain Bakery opened in LA last year, there was a long line of people eager to taste these cookies, which really showcased their popularity. On that day, we tried several cookies including Chocolate Chip Walnut, Two Chip Chocolate Chip, Fall Chocolate Chunk, and Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip, along with a Baguette served with Butter and Jam.
First of all, Levain Bakery’s cookies are characterized by their thick, crispy outside and chewy, soft inside. Among them, the Chocolate Chip Walnut combines the rich flavors of chocolate chips and walnuts, while the Two Chip Chocolate Chip is filled with semi-sweet and dark chocolate chips, providing a deep and intense chocolate flavor. The Fall Chocolate Chunk is a seasonal cookie available only during autumn, and with one bite, you can taste the cinnamon aroma that fills your mouth with the flavors of fall. The Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip, as the name suggests, is made with dark chocolate, offering a rich chocolate taste and is less sweet compared to the previously mentioned cookies.
Lastly, the Baguette with Butter and Jam is a personal favorite of mine that I always order without fail. The crispy yet chewy baguette, combined with soft butter and sweet jam, creates a delightful balance of sweetness and nuttiness. This combination is satisfying no matter when you eat it, and I feel happy every time I enjoy it.
