Beachfront Dining With Classic Dishes
Earlier this year, LA had a lot of rain, but recently it seems like the weather has returned to its usual warmth. So, I took a trip to Laguna Beach for the first time in a while, and I want to introduce a restaurant called Oak where I enjoyed a delicious brunch.
At Oak, there was a wide variety of brunch items and cocktails available. We ordered the Crispy Ahi Tuna Tacos, Roasted Tomato Soup, Oak Burger, and two non-alcoholic cocktails: Strawberry Refresher and Virgin Pina Colada.
First, the Strawberry Refresher and Virgin Pina Colada arrived. The Pina Colada was less creamy and much more refreshing than the usual ones I have, which was a bit disappointing for someone like me who enjoys a creamy taste, but it was still delicious enough that I would want to have it again next time. The Strawberry Refresher tasted like strawberry lemonade, and it was also refreshing and sweet, which I liked.
Next, the main dishes we ordered arrived. The Crispy Ahi Tuna Tacos were incredibly delicious, exceeding my expectations. The chips were very crispy and savory, and the sauce complemented them perfectly. They were a bit large for a single bite, and the chips crumbled too easily to cut them, making it a bit challenging to eat, but the harmony of the tuna, sauce, and crispy chips was worth the effort, so I highly recommend this dish. The Roasted Tomato Soup was something I ordered after seeing another table enjoy it so much. It was a refreshing tomato soup, and the Grilled Cheese that came with it was especially delicious when dipped in the soup. There was more soup than it looked like, and we finished every bit of it.
Lastly, the Oak Burger had a juicy and thick Wagyu Beef patty, and the combination with the pickles inside the burger was great. It was not greasy or salty, making it very enjoyable to eat.
