A Vietnamese Eatery with Rich and Flavorful Pho
PhoHolic in Stanton is a place where you can enjoy rich and flavorful pho, making it a go-to spot whenever you’re craving warm broth. I first learned about it when my brother recommended it to a colleague, and since it’s such a famous eatery, it tends to be crowded with long wait times. However, the restaurant has a spacious interior and well-arranged outdoor seating, allowing for a relatively quick turnover, so you won’t have to wait long to get in.

For reference, PhoHolic has a system where you order and pay before entering, and then you are guided to your seat. We chose menu item 10 (Steak, Tendon) and (Steak, Oxtail) from the various pho options, and we ordered one Peach Fruit Tea and one Lychee Fruit Tea as drinks.

The Peach Fruit Tea and Lychee Fruit Tea that arrived first contained real fruit, giving them a refreshing and vibrant flavor, with a sweet taste that was quite pronounced overall. The Peach had a smooth and sweet sensation, while the Lychee was cooler and more fragrant, each having its distinct charm. They are great choices depending on your taste, and surprisingly, they pair well with pho, making them a good option to order as a side drink.
Next, the broth of the pho was rich and deep from the very first sip, and the meat was tender without any off-flavors. The Tendon was particularly impressive with its chewy texture that melted in your mouth, and the steak was thin and tender, blending well with the broth. The Oxtail was easy to eat as the meat came off smoothly, and its strong presence added a savory flavor to the broth. If you usually enjoy oxtail soup or bone broth, I would especially recommend the menu items that include Oxtail.
PhoHolic
Overall, it was a satisfying meal with a combination of rich broth, tender meat, and refreshing drinks. It’s a place I want to revisit whenever I crave pho, especially on days when I’m longing for warm broth. Enjoy a hearty and delicious meal at PhoHolic.
