This post introduces Sua, an Asian-style Grab & Go cafe and market located in Larchmont, where you can enjoy delicious and unique food conveniently even in a busy daily life. At Suá, you can find a variety of quick meals made with fresh ingredients, as well as drinks, desserts, and various Asian products and interior items.
We visited around 1 PM on a Friday, and while browsing through simple meals and various products, we could feel how popular this place is as many people came and went. The food we chose included Sichuan Shredded Chicken Salad, Spicy Sichuan Glass Noodles, and Jade Rice Congee from a variety of appetizing menu options, along with Matcha Cream Soda and Vanilla Bean Soft Cream Americano for drinks, and Meiji Tofu Chocolate Pudding for dessert.
First, the Sichuan Shredded Chicken Salad was a salad boasting a refreshing and deep flavor, made with fresh ingredients like chicken breast, cabbage, carrots, and tangerines. The addition of sesame cashews and dressing enhanced both the texture and flavor, allowing for a healthy yet delicious experience. There was only one of this salad left, and it is said to sell out quickly due to its popularity. The Spicy Sichuan Glass Noodles reminded me of Korean japchae, but featured slightly thicker noodles. The savory yet spicy flavor lingered in the mouth, and the added spices deepened the taste. This dish would be a satisfying choice for those who enjoy spicy food. The Jade Rice Congee was a soft and creamy porridge with a nutty and mild flavor. The rice was gently broken down to convey a natural flavor, and the crispy fried shallots and mushrooms added a nice balance to the taste. This dish was a great choice for enjoying a comforting yet rich flavor.
Next, the Vanilla Bean Soft Cream Americano was a drink that combined rich Americano with soft vanilla bean cream, harmonizing the deep flavor of the coffee with the sweet and nutty notes of the vanilla cream, gently enveloping the bitterness of the coffee. The Matcha Cream Soda was a drink where the nutty and rich flavor of matcha blended well with the refreshing carbonation. Its slightly sweet yet bitter taste added a unique charm, making it a drink that offers a new flavor experience for matcha lovers.
Finally, the Meiji Tofu Chocolate Pudding was a dessert with a smooth and rich chocolate flavor. The soft texture harmonized with the sweetness of the chocolate, and the inclusion of tofu surprisingly provided a light and creamy taste. The combination of tofu and chocolate was unexpected, but the flavor was purely chocolate, and one could think of the texture as just being soft like tofu. I enjoyed this dessert as it was sweet yet easy to indulge in without feeling burdened.
