YoTea

Strong Coffee and a Variety of Teas

Located in Rosemead, YoTea is a café where you can enjoy Vietnamese coffee and a variety of teas, featuring a clean and spacious interior that stands out, providing a comfortable atmosphere to spend a leisurely time.

With many delicious-looking drinks on the menu, we took a while to decide and chose Egg Coffee, Ube Coconut, Kiwi Green Tea, and Mango Bread. Each drink had a unique combination and attractive visuals that heightened our anticipation.

First, the Egg Coffee, which was the most popular among other guests, immediately caught our attention with its yellow egg cream on top of the coffee. The intense bitterness of the strong black coffee perfectly blended with the sweet condensed milk, allowing us to experience a deep and rich flavor, while the smooth and fluffy egg cream added creaminess and nuttiness. Especially, dipping the crispy nuts cookie into the egg cream created a delightful sweet and bitter harmony that filled our mouths, offering a new dessert-like pleasure.

The Ube Coconut was a unique combination with ube cheese cream on top of coconut water, making it a drink I was especially excited about since I love both coconut water and ube. Ube Coconut combined the refreshing and tangy coconut water with the smooth and sweet ube cheese cream, allowing us to enjoy a light and refreshing taste instead of the slightly heavy feeling usually associated with ube. It tasted somewhat similar to an iced sweet potato latte, and the harmony of coconut and ube blended much better than expected, providing a more satisfying flavor experience.

Kiwi Green Tea was a drink where the refreshing and sweet flavors harmonized, with the natural acidity of fresh kiwi blending with the smooth flavor of the tea, creating a refreshing and pleasant taste. It would be a perfect choice for enjoying cool drinks in the summer when you’re craving something refreshing. The Mango Bread was a curiosity for me as I had never seen such a bread before; it had a moist and soft texture with a sweet mango filling that was subtly addictive. Although the amount of mango filling was a bit on the lower side, overall, it was just right for a light snack.

YoTea

Previously, I had memories of Vietnamese coffee being too sweet, so I didn’t enjoy it often, but here, the overall sweetness was not strong, and I could adjust the sweetness and ice level to my preference, which was very nice. How about visiting YoTea to explore unique coffee, tea, and desserts?
