Casual Eatery Featuring Handmade Noodles
Noodle St, located in Pasadena, is a place where you can enjoy handmade noodles with various shapes and textures. We visited around 1 PM on a weekend, and there was already a long line of people eager to taste the noodles. After putting our names on the waitlist and waiting for about 10 minutes, we were able to sit down. Although there were many people waiting, the seating inside was spacious and the turnover was relatively quick, so we didn’t have to wait as long as we expected.

The menu had many delicious-looking options, and we decided to order the Signature Beef Noodle Soup and Spicy Beef Noodle Soup, along with Lamb Skewers and Chicken Spicy Wontons as appetizers, and Passion Fruit Green Tea and Watermelon Juice for drinks.
The Lamb Skewers that came out first had a nice chewiness, and the unique richness of the lamb was well preserved. We chose Medium spiciness, and the subtly added spicy seasoning enhanced the umami flavor, making it even more delicious. The Chicken Spicy Wontons were filled with tender chicken inside a soft dumpling skin, and the mild taste combined with a sweet and spicy sauce created a more appealing flavor. The crunchy cucumber, enhanced with garlic and cilantro, offered a refreshing and flavorful taste. It was a great choice to enjoy as a side dish instead of kimchi when eating noodle dishes, and its freshness complemented the meal perfectly.

Next, the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup arrived, featuring a rich and spicy broth filled with tender beef brisket, green onions, and cilantro. The combination with the Standard Round noodles we chose was exceptional, and the chewy texture of the noodles blended perfectly with the broth, enhancing the overall flavor. The clear and rich broth was generously filled with thinly sliced beef brisket, radish, cilantro, and green onions, and the taste of the broth was deep and mild, reminiscent of a fusion between Pho and a clear soup. We chose Knife Cut noodles, which felt like adding handmade noodles, and the thick and chewy noodles harmonized wonderfully with the broth. Despite the large portion, it was so delicious that we finished it all without leaving anything behind.
Finally, the Passion Fruit Green Tea was delightful with its sweet and refreshing flavor, and the combination with the slightly bitter green tea allowed for an even richer taste. The Watermelon Juice retained the cool and sweet flavor of watermelon, making it the perfect drink for hot weather and a great palate cleanser after the meal.
